Infant school is one of the most original initiatives in the French educational system.
Infant schools in France have long been recognised for their creative pedagogy and high standards of teaching; they are considered as schools in the true sense of the word. They are the place where experimentation and early learning first take place.
Infant school is perceived as an environment that fosters the development of the child and as a stage necessary for them to adapt to school provision and later to school achievement.
