The aim of this publication is to provide an overview of the French education system and of pupil's school career between the ages of three and eighteen.
After detailing the specific objectives of each stage of schooling, the document looks at how schools operate and how teaching is organised. It then presents the players involved in the schooling process.
Lastly, it looks at key aspects of education and school life and at how pupils develop as individuals and citizens.
