
Over the past twenty years, vocational education - which was long considered less prestigious than general education - has gradually carved out a more enviable position for itself within the French education system.
As a front-line player in the fight against school failure, it has become something of a laboratory for active, innovative pedagogical approaches.
Its pedagogical coherence is founded on a judicious balance between general education, vocational education and the economic environment.
